A Letter from Mrs. Grimm

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

Thank you for allowing me the privilege of being your teacher. It is my pleasure to work with you, the families of Evergreen High School as we merge into one campus after many years of being apart. My favorite part of being a teacher is sharing my knowledge and experience with my students and gaining knowledge and experience through my students in return. I see teaching and learning as an enriching loop, and I hope to learn from you as I teach you in return.

In a world that often only sees our differences, in the language classroom we come to compare our lives, backgrounds and cultures and see similarities and not merely divergences. There is no greater compliment that we can pay a culture than to take the time to really study its language, because, as we will learn, in many ways language is culture.

I have an MA in comparative literature and second language acquisition and teaching languages is my long-time passion. In addition to speaking Spanish, I speak Russian, German and French. I bring over 10 years of experience to my work with you this year and I am eager to see the progress that you will make as we continue our journey together!

Respectfully,

Profe Grimm
